Role of MDCT in TRanscatheter Mitral Interventions

Abstract


In recent years there has been a rapid development in transcatheter mitral valve procedures. Detailed clinical and imaging evaluation is essential before such type of procedure. In this case, echocardiography and CT can aid in the diagnosis and determination of the severity of mitral valve regurgitation and identification of patients suitable for this type of procedure. This review analyses the role of MDCT in these procedures and describes all the information that MDCT can provide to the Heart team to ensure a successful procedure
